Fashionable Friday : Promenade in Procida

I'm not a worldly traveller.  So the plenitude of picturesque places on Pinterest that would elicit reminiscent Oohs and Aahs of, "I've been there!" from others seldom get that response from me.  I might Ooh and Aah over how pretty they are, but as to where they were taken?  I'm mostly clueless. 

The inspiration for today's fashion illustration with its stone neutrals and touches of pink had me wondering about Capri or somewhere in those thereabouts.  A tad more research revealed it to be Procida, a wee, small island off Naples that apparently is a hidden gem, a tiny delight and a jewel box to be explored at your next opportunity.  And it turns out my geographical instincts aren't completely clueless after all !  Huzzah !

Lemonade will flavour our weekend there.  Espadrilles are standard fare, whether flat or wedge, and off-the-shoulder blouses will always be at home there. Floaty skirt or floaty pants ~ as long as the breeze billows through, it will do. And on that note ...

    Oh how pretty! I hadn't heard of this island either. I found pictures. It looks lively and sunny, if a bit crowded! (At least it's crowded with prettiness.)

    Would you believe? Of course you would....my friends Karen and Mike who have been living for many years in Venice just moved from there to Procida. They wanted to retire from their business and they decided this little island with it's much lower rent would be the best place.
    I'm hoping Karen starts a new blog about their new life.

    Guess who I saw today! PCN! Is it Elise or Alise? I saw her at an audiobooks event and she said the two of you had just talked about that. And she told me about meeting you IN REAL LIFE! How wonderful!

      Oh my gosh! It's Elyse - I'm so happy you bumped into each other there !! Wow. And envious on both counts! She's met you twice now and I'm yet to. We had a wonderful time together in Melbourne for an afternoon ~ she hung in there brilliantly fresh off her long flight. The time flew way too fast. It was a magic day!! x0

      That's so sweet and she is adorable. Exquisite! I wore something fluffy. :) There was not even a blink of hesitation on my part ~ as soon as she said she would be here in Australia, I knew I'd be getting there. I couldn't miss the chance. :) x0
