Today's Paris illustration sees us at Shakespeare And Company, an iconic bookstore for bookworms and browsers alike.

And it's lucky we're in Paris, because we're fashionably late for the day circled on the calendar to celebrate The Bard's life and work. 23rd April marks the anniversary of the day he passed away {this much is known for sure} and possibly also the day he was born {this much: not so much}.

As for our pint-sized fashionista, she's celebrating equal parts Shakespeare, Harry Potter and Gucci. I like her style. "And though she be but little, she is fierce." Join us for a stroll? If the heels are too tall, slip on some slides and we're good to go. And on that note ...

Today's illustration sees us heading out for a breath of fresh air and scoring an unexpected ticklish tongue in our ear. Bonus! If we get our tushes into gear for an Easter egg hunt, we'll have to wake our dozing tiny tot to use the basket for the spoils. Methinks we shall relax here a while instead.

Francophile Friday : Pâtisserie Pairs

I seem to have a thing for pairs at the moment. If I was a poker player, I don't know if that's good or bad. So it's lucky I'm not a poker player.

Today's illustration takes a long overdue reconnaissance mission of Paris pâtisseries. This one's window display might not quite get a tick of approval from the health inspectors but it gets a big, fat, fluffy tick for being fetching ... especially if those pooches get a whiff.

So come, let us pull on our coats, defy our legs' goosebumps and ready our choices. This particular establishment looks tilted to the divinity of the chocolate and salted caramel persuasion. And on that note ...
