Fashionable Friday : Vintage Violet and the Happiness Weed
{Fashion illustration: Violet and Vintage Dior in Paris © Shell-Sherree} |
Regardless of its rejection from the perfumer's arsenal, it is cheerful, humble and really rather lovely. I'm sure the vase is at least half full. And our thought for the day, even more so. Always choose happiness.
Today's illustration rewinds us with a nod to vintage Dior and has me wondering where Agent Violet has got to. So come, let us scoop up our skirts, sip medicinal brandy from our gold monogrammed hip flasks and ...oh. Perhaps therein lies the problem. And on that note ...
Happy Fashionable Friday to you !
I was thinking...did I miss a day? But then I realized although it is Thursday where I am, it's already Friday in Australia.
ReplyDeleteHappy "le weekend"!
Haha!! Sorry, bella !! Well, by the time you read it, it was Friday here ... but I did publish on Thursday night our time. I'm so used to writing the posts ON Friday, I forgot I was early by the time I'd finished writing it and clicked Publish instead of Schedule. Oops. ;) Bon weekend when it rolls around for you and Diavolo! x0
DeletePerhaps Agent Violet is couped up in her Paris apartment along with Agent Hugh still recovering from the Chicken Incident......:)
ReplyDeleteI like that notion, Debs ! Let's run with that .... ;) Happy weekend, lovely. x0
DeleteDebs surely must be right.
ReplyDeleteThe purple flower with the not-so-luscious scent reminds me of the jacaranda trees that line the streets of Pasadena. Beautiful trees, with lovely little lilac-colored blossoms, and when they're in bloom the streets look like they're lined with tall bouquets. But the smell is not so lovely.

Indeed, Petrea ~ Debs's train of thought is a fetching one.
DeleteWe have jacarandas here, too. {Not in season just yet}. Gorgeous to look at but I haven't tried smelling them. Thank heavens I've not been dipping out on anything. Hugs to you and Wilma! x0
