It's time for a casual respite from our usual glam ruffles, shimmers and fluffiness.  They'd look very much at home here for the sake of a flight of fancy, but those park benches are hellishly wicked when it comes to organza and tulle.  

It's also time for me to take the whole 'denim on denim' trend for a half-hearted, heel-dragging spin.  I've been choosing to ignore it, but it's not going away yet, so let's keep one jeans-clad leg on each side of the fence and tuck a different shade of denim under our arm ~ purely in case of a rodeo flash mob emergency.

Big fashion stretches require big sunglasses, big puppy dogs and big hair to boost one's bravado.  There's a hair teasing station a few hundred metres along in case we need to put more 'up' in our 'dos.  I hear a ukelele, too. Banjos are so yesterday.  And on that note ...

    I love the whole picture, from the hairdo to the look on pooch's face.

    I'm afraid my jeans-wearing days are over. I don't find them comfortable anymore! I only want soft things to wear these days.

      I pretty much live in jeans when I'm out and about {unless it's a summer scorcher when I live for dresses}, but do look forward to switching them for something soft when I'm home !

    for the love of ukuleles! Your model has a come hither look going on - if I did that dressed similarly, I think the crowd would just pass me by. Except for the dog. Dogs are loyal.

    Being the owner of many pairs of jeans and a new dog, I feel delightfully included here. Fashions move on and bootcuts have given way to skinnies, but not mine. Never.

      I hear you on the bootcuts. I still think they work better than skinnies with shorter or 'non-voluminous' tops. Fessing up to not wearing them overly often, but I'm still hanging onto them !
