Fashionable Friday : Harlequin Hat Box and the Kitty Stowaway

Seems there's no such thing as excess baggage charges Chez Shell. Praise the Lord and pass me another trunk.
Where is our fashion illustration whisking us off to this weekend? Navy is nautical but that's by no means a hint. Classic neutrals are at home anywhere in my book, and Paris is as fetching a destination as any. Or ... is there someplace else that sets your heart a-racing?
Our jaunty harlequin-inspired hat box {known in the kitty smuggling trade as 'the package'} lends a spot of derring-do ~ perish the thought that we be predictable ! And on that note ...
Happy Fashionable Friday to you !

Jaunty? I'll say. Ahoy Matey!
ReplyDeleteI've never looked for vintage designer duds at a thrift store. Was never small enough in stature to fit into them - but I do adore a thrift shop.
Ella's practising her Ahoys, PA. I've lucked it in with that particular thrift shop ~ I think there's someone my size who lives nearby and is happy to keep her designer labels somewhat current !
DeleteI'm chuckling because I MOVED to Paris with a fraction of this much luggage! On the other hand, if I had had a properly Parisian, Shell-inspired wardrobe instead of the "Hey, look at me—I'm an American teenager " stuff I packed ... Ah, ma belle Shell, where were you when I needed you? Oh, wait. I'm pretty sure you were still a wee babe (and may not have developed that impeccable fashion sense quite yet). :~}
ReplyDeleteOh, Alexa ~ if only you knew ~ I was definitely a late bloomer when it comes to fashion sense !! And my mum and sister have strict instructions that if I ever even hint that I might possibly vaguely consider a perm, they will do an intervention !!
DeleteAh yes, the ill-advised perm (been there, done that). Glad you have a team in place, just in case.
DeleteI'm glad I'm not alone, dear Alexa. No-one's seeing the photos of my Italian trip from the 90s !!
DeleteWhere have I been? Yu have three new posts since I last visited. On one hand, I feel like a slacker. On the other hand, I feel a sense of glee that I get to binge on Shell Sherree illustrations this evening.
ReplyDeleteHee! I'm very happy to provide you with a ShellSherreeFest, dear Petrea. Thank you for enjoying it.
