Fashionable Friday : From Russia with Love
{Harlequin and the Snow Queens : ink pen, pencil and watercolour fashion illustration © Shell-Sherree} |
Actually, I have no idea if my illustration's gorgeous inspiration via Ester Abner haute couture was shot in Russia ~ my cyrillic is a little rusty. But Russia works for me. Should we channel our Anna Kareninas this weekend? Too much drama? Let's pull up some logs and faux fur rugs, and discuss over vodka martinis {aka kangaroo cocktails ~ I kid you not!} We can escalate to vodka shots as the hypothermia threatens to kick in. And on that note ...
Happy Fashionable Friday to you !

Quel coup de crayon ou plutôt de pinceau ! Magnifique inspiration.

Merci, Danielle ! Bon weekend, ma chère. Baci e abbracci ...
DeleteI don't really need to go to Russia for this scene today—it snowed yet again and I can just head over to the dog run at nearby Prospect Park. Well, maybe it won't be QUITE the same . . .
ReplyDeleteMerci for this vision of winter elegance, ma belle.
I considered NYC as an alternate location, dear Alexa ~ maybe you'd rather imagine those are mounds of sand than snow !! Bon dimanche, ma chère ~ stay snug !
DeleteI like how elegance can hide such things as thermal underwear and boots! And kangaroo cocktails? Are they shaken or stirred?
ReplyDeleteWhat does Kitty think of all these dogs (even tho they are beautiful dogs!)?
Kitty thought she'd let the dogs enjoy the freezing cold while she tucked up snugly indoors, Ms M. As for the kangaroo cocktails, I'm guessing they are bounced. ;)
