Fashionable Friday: Flowing Felines in Milan
{Flowing Felines in Milan : ink pen, pencil and watercolour fashion illustration © Shell-Sherree} |
Today's illustration with its nebulous nod to the Duomo cathedral is inspired by Alberta Ferretti, though as per usual, I've tailored the gown colour to suit myself. {It's all about me, after all.} Nothing against sea-green but it rhymes with pea-green and we don't need to confuse things by dreaming up the owl and the pussycat right now when clearly, their romantic boat trip has Buckley's and none of ending up here. Any thoughts on how best to amuse ourselves? The customary pastries and champagne are on the menu ~ and we'd fit in nicely for a night at La Scala. Let's see what other mischief we can get up to ~ and on that note ...
Happy Fashionable Friday to you !
SWAN OVER TO MY PETITE BOUTIQUE OF ART PRINTS HERE
Cara Shell—Milano certainly seems like a fitting locale for some fabulous fashions. At the risk of popping our buttons, may I suggest we get our pastry fix at one of the cafés in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele? (But this is Shell-land, non è vero? Calories don't count!)
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful, dear Alexa ! Feel free to lead us astray ~ as you've surmised, there are no such things as calories here. And the last time I checked, the pastries here are filled with essential vitamins and minerals. Gold stars.
DeleteIf I was in Milan I'd spend the day visiting cathedrals, art galleries and museums. I'd also go for some gelato and pizza.
ReplyDeleteLovely dress - and yes, you must make it your own.
Culture and pizza ~ best of both worlds, PA!
DeleteYour illo of Milan is the cat's meow (sorry, I couldn't resist!). Yes, I'd also enjoy visiting cathedrals, art galleries, museums -- and some wonderful cuisine. Perhaps you could advise me on appropriate the appropriate fashion for the occasion!
ReplyDeleteHow pawfectly lovely of you to say so, Ms M. :) Hmm, I'm wondering about something simple and elegant like this could do the trick?
DeleteOh, that's the ticket! :-)
DeleteGlad you like it, Ms M ! :)
DeleteI think we can amuse ourselves by riding the tiger (or the lion, as the case may be). I would like to wear that dress while dancing barefoot in the fountains.
ReplyDeleteAnd I would like to see that, Petrea ...
DeleteYes, of course it's all about you. (Oh, and just a wee bit about me, too. I have very fond memories of Milano and Maximo.)
ReplyDeleteForget about me, Hiker, I want to hear about Maximo !! Now, there's a name worthy of a story ...
DeleteThat is one fine feline! So is the dress.
ReplyDelete'You live but once; you might as well be amusing.' Or amused. ;-)
Or sometimes even bemused, dear Cali ! ;)
