Happy Quatorze Juillet / Fête Nationale / Bastille Day to you!
PS: Francophile Frunday = Francophile Friday on a Sunday. Sorry I've been so absent from the blog lately! Please pop over and Like my Facebook page to keep in touch between posts. Merci, grazie, thank you...
Oh lucky day! What a treat to see an un petit illo from you. Ella is such a trooper donning the Eiffel Tower for our amusement. She wears it well. I hope you get some sunshine soon to lift your mood. You should treat yourself to those fabulous dresses!
ReplyDeleteElla is a trooper, Susan ~ the illustrated version of her, that is. :) I think she'd beg to differ if I tried it for real.
DeleteLovely to see this purrfectly adorable illo for Bastille Day, dear Shell! With you on winter. Sending big hugs to you and Ella from me and you-know-who.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the hugs and right back at you, Favourite Vintage Finds. :) Good weather for tea and scones.
DeleteIt's not everyone who can carry off that hat. Or balance it, for that matter. Happy 14th to you, too!
ReplyDeleteIt must be the British shorthair head, hiker. It's a good solid noggin.
DeleteKitty don't need no stinkin' party whistle. She knows how to whistle. You know how to whistle, don't you, Shell? You just put your lips together - and blow.
ReplyDeleteHappy Quatorze Juillet to you!
Heh heh!! Like this, you mean? I do, cali ~ I do.
DeleteThat is such a great scene! Look at the sparkle in Bogie's eyes as he looks at Baby. One of the best movies of all time!
DeleteOne good clip deserves another.
Hee! I might have to start using that expression, cali!
DeleteSo happy to see you! Purrfect hat (sorry - had to be said)
ReplyDelete;-)
And it's purrfectly good to see you, too, dear Debs. :)
DeleteYou know, I think I do NOT want blue Macarons, but I don't mind green, as long as it's pistacio.
ReplyDeletePistachio is definitely in the mix, Margaret.
DeleteMacie's all for celebrating, but not so sure she'd wear any hat. But she does say "hats off to Ella and Meeps" for being such good sports.
ReplyDeleteI hope you and Ella celebrated in style!
I understand Macie's reservations, Ms M. It's wise not to leap into such things willy-nilly.
DeleteThat is clearly the world's most accommodating kitty! Shell, everyone deserves a break—but I admit I would have been disappointed if you had not shown up at all pour la fete national (and with an appropriately fabulous wardrobe, of course). Bisoux to you, ma belle!
ReplyDeleteAlexa, I'd have disappointed myself, too, if I'd missed it. Ella gave me a talking to and told me to get my act into gear. ;) Bisoux, ma chère!
DeleteWhee! A post from Shell Sherree! I think I'm going to head downtown to the shops and see if I can find myself one of those hats.
ReplyDeleteHeh! I think you could pull it off, Petrea.
DeleteHappy Bastille Day!
ReplyDeleteAnd, where's your June blog post??
My dog ate it, Cafe. :) I hope you had a nice Bastille Day, too, with plenty of treats in your bowl.
ReplyDeleteI know I'm very late to the party, but maybe everyone's still in a celebratory mode. I know I am now seeing this adorable kitty illustration! Delightful way to mark Bastille Day. Love the clothes and the macarons too!
ReplyDeleteWe set up a roster system, Katie, so we're all still fresh and raring to go ~ though we have migrated from champagne macarons to cognac macarons...
ReplyDeleteI missed Bastille day (every year) but I'll take the Eiffel Tower party hat. And a macaroon if any are left over
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, there will be take-home kitty bags with the leftover macarons, PA.
ReplyDeleteI love the little drawing that you have made on your blog. It is adorable. Thank you for sharing.
