It seems one of the other passengers on board our
Love Bus N°9 took the Abbey Road stop. Cross your eyes and look at this in dim light if you're a purist, but perhaps we can imagine for the sake of a good segue that there's a vague
Sgt. Peppers vibe about
our groovy chick. Being wise beyond her years, she's not buying into the
Lonely Hearts side of things, though ~ I suspect she has many suitors saying,
"I want to hold your hand," but these puppy dogs are keeping them full. Not to mention
Superman could be waiting in the phone booth for her.
{She loves Hugh, yeah, yeah, yeah.} I can already feel the stampede to climb in there before he exits, so on that note...
Happy Fashionable Furry Friends Friday to you!
Tar VERY much for this fashionable reminder of my best decade (that would be the Sixties, of course) and a good chuckle. No surprise, though—did you think I wouldn't know who Superman really is?
ReplyDeleteFrancophile & Canine Fridays are my favorites.
ReplyDeletegorgeous artwork Shell ... i think our little Jack Russell 'Disco' would have all sorts of trouble staying so still even if I was dressed as beautifully as this swinging 60's chick. x
ReplyDeleteThat's my kind of Superman. :)
ReplyDeleteLovelovelove this look! I might even be able to get away with it if I got two cute dogs like these. And is it me or does Hugh get more adorable by the day? I can't wait to see him at the Oscars this weekend!
ReplyDeleteFun illo -- that is one mod chick! And "Hugh" have such a way with puns ;-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday to you and your furry friend.
Go on with your groovy self! Yes it is another winning illo! What? No French Bulldog? (At least I didn't link to Puppy Love!)
ReplyDeleteI knew you'd know, Alexa. I knew..... ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cafe ~ when I do a puppy post, I know there will be at least one tail wagging on the planet.
Heh, I'll bet one Disco would be keeping both your hands full, dk!
Debs ~ Hugh would wear that suit like no-one's business if they ever cast him as Superman.
I'm sure it's not your imagination, Katie. When Petrea pointed me over to these photos, I thought the same. I'm surprised I haven't worn out the link already.
Ta, Ms M, and back to you and yours. :) {Did you spot the kitty?}
Hahaha, Cali! I've been waiting. You didn't disappoint me {not that I thought you would}. ;)
I didn't spot Kitty the first time -- but now I see her, keeping an eye on things. :-)
ReplyDeleteI almost needed the magnifying glass to squeeze in this one, Mary!
ReplyDeleteKitty is wisely keeping her distance, though I imagine she could take on these little doggies without much trouble.
ReplyDeleteI received my lovely Shell Sherry note cards today, packaged with a Meep Miniature! Shell, the packaging is almost as lovely as the artwork. Thank you.
Hugh's probably keeping our tiny kitten purring, Petrea. {And you're more than welcome ~ my pleasure. Unwrapping is at least half the fun, so I like to make it beautiful!}
ReplyDeleteFab and groovy, Shell! And ofcourse I love the outfit! :) xo
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised to learn you have a pair of those sunglasses, Favourite Vintage Finds! x
ReplyDeleteThe pups look so pleased, and why shouldn't they be, hanging in the arms of such a groovy chick? I could see her watching Steve McQueen race at Le Mans; that's how groovy she is.
ReplyDeleteOh, nice one, Susan! Steve McQueen is very groove-worthy. Hugs...
