I'm ever so sorry, but I've a wee dram of eye strain and need to take a little sojourn from blogging. I'll be back when I can, and in the meantime, let's take a leaf from kitty's book and relax in your daydream of choice. And on that note...
Happy Francophile Friday or Venerdi in Venice to you!
I'm sorry to hear this, Shell! Rest those eyes and take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Kitty is adorable and could even make eye masks fashionable!
Blogger R and R 2 U ShSh.
ReplyDeleteYou deserve a break today. So get out and get away to the Usa.
Poor you, Shell. Bloody computers, eh. I hope you are a lot better soon, and that your life is filled with happy whimsy away from the screen.
ReplyDeleteHope you're better soon. Rest well, we will wait for you.
ReplyDeleteYou'll be greatly missed. And of course, we'll wait for you.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a Venetian Carnival cat ; )
ReplyDeleteI hope you get better soon. Rest well.
Regards,
AnnaLivia
No apologies necessary sweet Shell! You take all the time you need to rest those tired eyes and as Altadena says, we'll be here when you get back. P.S. I'd love an eyemask with that cute kitty design on it!
ReplyDeleteDear Shell -- rest well. Commission Hugh to bring you some good wine and cheese (and macarons!).
ReplyDeleteWe'll be here when you come back...
PS: I like the kitty eyemask too!
Shell, you're going to get eyestrain from reading all the get well wishes! Do take all the time you need and don't worry about us languishing out here in the blogosphere, bereft of our meeps. No no, don't even think of it. We'll muddle through.
ReplyDeleteLol methinks Petrea is going to find it difficult in Meepland with you. Rest your eyes dear. I've arranged for Hugh and Colin to cater for your every whim.
ReplyDeleteHmmm designing whimsical eye patches may be a new venture for you????
Thanks, you are all kind and sweet {though I already knew that!} And I like the idea of looking like a Venice Carnevale Cat. I wish I had an eye mask like kitty's too.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better dear Shell. Cute cute illo. Big Hugs from me and you-know-who. xx
ReplyDeleteGet well, dear Shell. I hope you are lounging on a comfy pillow, just like your sweet kitty, resting your tired eyes and enjoying your dreams.
ReplyDeleteEveryone needs a blogging holiday from time to time. As long as you're well I approve, and I look forward to your return.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your break, and you and your eyes come back refreshed and relaxed...
ReplyDeleteTake your time, Sweetie. Follow Debs' advice and let Hugh and Colin tend to your most decadent desire. But when you tire of them (as if!), you MUST return to us!
ReplyDeleteYou're all having far better thoughts on ways to keep me entertained than I can come up with! Thank you...
ReplyDeleteBecause when you do, you will find your bliss.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful and maybe a gift from beyond that you got to go to Rome and forget all the sadness for a little while.
Anon ~ this was a Blog Holiday, not a Roman Holiday. But that's another nice idea, thank you... {note to self: find mysterious twin sister and tell her to stop galivanting around Europe pretending to be me.}
ReplyDeleteI'd only worry if she's using your credit cards.
ReplyDeleteMiss you.
Meeps and I miss you sweet Shell! We can't wait for your return. You light up our lives. :)
ReplyDeleteV and Meepsie
Hiker, V and Meepsie ~ aww, now you've made me cry. Just a weensy bit. {And my eyes appreciated it.} I'll be back very soon... recovery's well on track.
ReplyDeleteI was led here by the Meep! Rest those eyes, I know too well how important eyes are.
ReplyDeleteHi, Elizabeth ~ so lovely to see you. :) Thank you...
ReplyDeleteI "saw" you on Alexa's blog and hope it means your eyes are feeling better and you can come closer to a computer without danger !
ReplyDeleteAs we say en French, tes oreilles ont du siffler. I was lucky enough to spend a wonderful day with Alexa during her short but dense trip to Paris a couple of weeks ago.
And, of course, you've been in our thoughts and in our talks. Daydreaming of the day we'll be able to wander on Paris streets with you !
Can't wait to have you back blogging but take the time you need to fully recover, eyes are precious but fragile little things!
Love, Marylène
Merci, chère Marylène. You're right ~ my eyes are better, hooray, and I'm officially back today!! I was preparing my new post when your comment here came through. How lovely that you and Alexa caught up during her whirlwind trip to Paris. I feel I've missed so much ~ but yes, I'll be sensible and take it easy. Thank you! x0
ReplyDeleteThis gave me a good little giggle. Aw...
ReplyDeleteLL
I'm glad, Lori Lynn ~ she makes me smile, too.
